Imagine the feeling of pure joy and excitement I felt when receiving the news that The Fishing Party had been shortlisted for the prestigious Holmes Art Prize for Realistic Bird Art. It's a moment that every artist dreams of and for a good reason. The Holmes Art Prize is a highly respected award in the art community, recognizing the talent and dedication of artists across Australia.
With only 40 artists selected from all over Australia, being shortlisted for this prize is a true honor and a significant achievement in itself. It means that my work has stood out among a pool of talented artists and has been recognized for its quality and artistic merit.
Now that the exciting news of being shortlisted has sunk in, the next step is to prepare for the final round of judging. The Fishing Party will be on display in Minyama QLD from the 25th October, Opening Night to the 22nd November.
